Summer Puppy Travel

  • Its that time of year again, hot! When transporting a puppy via live animal cargo there are many rules and regulations and one of those is acclimation. TSA will not allow puppies to fly in cargo if it is outside of 20°- 85° at the time of departure and arrival. They will simply turn us away and say try a different day. This is NOT an issue of the airplanes temperature as it is heated and cooled where the live animal cargo is located. This is for the puppies acclimation to a varying climate. They feel that it isn't safe for a puppy to be transported from a climate they are already accustomed to, to a more severe temperature. This can be inconvenient for you and I , however it is in place for the puppies wellbeing and safety, which we can all agree is top priority.
