Are Pocket Beagles really Beagles?

Yes! They are the smallest variety of the beagle, generally standing at 11". An Olde English Pocket Beagle is 100% pure bred, not mixed with any other breeds. If you have researched pocket beagles you might have found the Queen Elizabeth Pocket Beagles, which are mixed with the dachshund. They sometimes have the dachshund coloring of dapple, and the long backs assciated with that breed. While we believe that all puppies are precious, that's not what we raise. We raise exclusively Old English here at Perfect Pocket Beagles. For a comparison of size, the standard beagle is usually 13"-15", weighing 30-60 pounds. The Olde English are typically 11", usually weighing 15-16 pounds. All of our dogs are registered with The Olde English Pocket Beagle Registry, the original registry founded in 1999 by Robert Mock.
